"Ebay Warns Users to Upgrade Browsers".

Definitely the Firefox/Linux combination does not work for Ebay sellers presently. I wonder how buyers would be affected this time around?

Some sort of bias against Linux and open-source?

No, some kind of deal with Micro$oft....to only support IE.

Never knew their was issues with this,

makes senese though, I made an auction listing in NVU from linux and it turned out like crap when I uploaded it, used the windows version of NVU and did the exact same thing and it worked perfect.

Took me a long time to figure out why ebay wasnt rendering it correct.

it won't effect linux users as long as you use Firefox

I remember that if there's a problem you can get around it by spoofing the User Agent string for IE under Windows XP.

I doubt that eBay would drop support for Firefox (at least in Windows), the number two browser. They might not test their site in Linux FF, but if it works in one, it'll probably work in the other. So unless eBay tries doing a browser detect (which is evil), there shouldn't be much of a difference.

BTW, the only reliable way to support IE, Firefox, and Safari (the default Mac browser) is to follow the standards, which helps everyone.
