So I was driving into work this morning and the morning radio show (http://freebeerandhotwings.com/) was talking about a local family whose children have the disease "AT" Ataxia Telangiectasia (http://www.ninds.nih.gov/disorders/a_t/a-t.htm) a horrible thing.

Normally I don't do this type of thing on the forums. However, after watching the video (http://www.atcp.org/vldnk.htm) of these children I was touched.

They are trying to raise $62,000 for a medical trial at John Hopkins University.

If you are able to help them, here is the url to make a donation.

I made a donation.. :KS

Sorry to burst your bubble but i'd better point this out:

Note for Firefox Browser Users ONLY: Our donation sites must be viewed in Internet Explorer with the IE Tab add-on from Mozilla Firefox. Click here (https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/1419/) to download the IE Tab add-on.

I sent them a mail regarding their browser policy. They don't cater for me to donate.

No problem, I understand. i just think it is silly of them to have a browser policy that would exclude people that would want to donate to their cause. They are harming themselves.

so, basicly they, if you run Linux, expect you to install WINE and then install IE6?

I wouldn't donate to them, although all my sites are none-ie (then again I don't want windows vistors ;-))

Let us know if they get back to you, I frequently have to remind websites of the graph that shows Firefox with 10-20% shares (depending who you talk to)

Thanks ubuntu-geek. I think posting this is a good idea. Not exactly the response you were hoping for, eh?

I understand that the site doesn't allow non-IE browsers, but I am sure that is not the family's fault. I would guess that this place would be a good spot to post something like this due to its community nature and all. It's not like you can't get around the IE block, so everyone should stop whining about it and help a family out if you would like to.

Now if you don't have the money for it or don't want to help, that's legitimate. Because of their site's browser choice? seriously...
