ok so im not a programmer the most impressive(to me) thing i do is scriptinc.. im sure if I applied myself and lost this apathy thing i could learn but apathy prevents me from loosing apathy... its painfull i know... so anyhow mac osx is now unix based.. most products that dont support linux do however support mac... so would it be possible to port mac drivers in to linux....

I don't think it would work, maybe on the PPC version of Ubuntu, but not the x86 version. However, if the source code for the driver is released, that could only help your build a new driver for Linux.

I tought apple uses open source ati drivers for the ppc. In the new macs that are coming out, they even ditch all the nvidia cards for ati 9600 cards.

that's merely one driver.

The thread starter didn't mention ATI, just drivers in general
