BYOJeopardy (http://www.wolfescience.com/byojeopardy/) is a 'jeopardy-like board creator. BYOJeopardy helps you make custom boards that you can use in the classroom or play with friends.'
Here are some screenshots: http://www.wolfescience.com/byojeopardy/screenshots.php

It is great for use in the classroom, IMHO.

I built a .deb of the latest version, for anyone that wants it.
You can also grab the source from SF, if you'd rather build it yourself: http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/byojeopardy/byojeopardy-1.2.11.tar.gz?download

That looks really cool! I think I will try to use it in my freshman computer class. My wife's third graders would probably think its pretty cool, too! Thanks for the info.

I wonder if this will work on Hardy (Ubuntu 8.10). I found this program very useful. I wonder why it isn't already on the list of supported packages?

This is an excellent program. I am trying to install the latest version, byojeopardy-1.2.14, but it gives me an error:

configure: error: You don't have libxml-2.0 > 2.6.0 installed

I'm wondering where I could get that missing file from, looking at Synaptic, it doesn't have that particular file. :(

do you have libxml2 and libxml2-dev installed? They are available on 64-bit 11.04. I'm not sure those are what you need. I'm guessing you noted that the thread is rather old.
