Fellas,

I am a grad student and i was wondering what's a good application/applications for managing a long term project. The participants could be a couple of profs some students with regular inputs, and need important and valuable data (security) transfer capability, login-administrator settings etc...

I was browsing thru sourceforge and got confused...

I would like to have that application (webased-platform independent), native DB management (not the space provided by some web-based systems) etc..

any suggestions and additions would be welcome.

BTW, looking for a free application. we have both linux and win servers..

Thanks

The only one that I'm aware of is Planner... I've used it on a few small projects and I think it would be worth looking into...

System>Administration>Synaptic Package Manager & just search for planner.

or

sudo apt-get install planner
