Hi!
Im studying Java at a university at the moment, and i wonder if there is any support to get java, sdk and everthing to work in the latest edgy? And i would love a ide like anjuta or some other.

Every answer is appreciated :)

Hey, I'm studying Java at my university too. I think Ubuntu provides a pretty good java developement environment (well, atm I'm still runnung Ubuntu Dapper). You should install the Sun Java SDK. As IDE I'm using Eclipse, which runs perfectly fine.
If you need help to setup the software, have a look in the Ubuntu Wiki, it's all there !

ok, i will try with that... But what im concerned about is how it works with edgy so far. But ill try tomorrow and let you know how it goes :)

use notepad + as a text editor and compile program in command line !
simple and easy

I'm also taking Java in college. My instructor recommends that we use JDeveloper because he uses it. I'm using JDeveloper so that if I have any issues with the IDE itself, I can get his assistance. I will probably move over to Eclipse after class is over.
