When printing you can select preview in the print box.

no I mean a print preview button that allows me to see what the document will look like before I print it. most browsers have this.

Only if you select ctrl-p and then check the preview box. It will not print it first shows a preview and then you can select print to print it for real.

I can't find a preview button also not in editing a toolbar.

So the answer is yes you can preview it before print.
and No there isn't a preview button i know off.
