Well mine is a barebones Aopen but it is essentially the same as a Dell 700m (http://www.dell.com/content/products/productdetails.aspx/inspn_700m) - although it worked out being a LOT cheaper!. I'm well chuffed because EVERYTHING works great under linux!
Anyway for more details look at: http://mark.bowdenonline.co.uk/reviews/laptop.php

:p I should have thought to add it in my original post. If anyone wants a better look the dell site I linked to has a 3d tour (OOOoooo pretty).
ps. yes that is a 'Powered by Ubuntu' you can see on the left hand side of my laptop. :-D
pps. The laptops name is 'Sharky' (http://www.ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?p=1147084&highlight=sharky#post1147084) - I know its sad but I do name all my computers. For one thing it feels (a little) more reasonable to shout at an inanimate object if it has a name! :p
ppps. My username comes from when I used to play quake2 deathmatch - it was my first stab at irony - Kinna sad really

Now upgraded to 512MB ram. The only problem is the Unichrome graphics (buggy dri).

I'm getting my first laptop soon :). I will post pictures and more information on my blog and on the forums when I have it.
I voted laptop+desktop.
I'm going to make the laptop my primary machine.
There are benefits to also having a desktop :
-gaming
-watching anime/movies (bigger harddrive and screen)
-nice keyboard and mouse

I changed from an IBM servercase to a 1.2kg subnotebook when got my first notebook. The desktop was bit heavier what is allowed on planes so had to change because of my intern. I never looked behind.
I do not play games alone so that goes to the laptop as well as watching films on the tele.
I miss the tinkering with watercooling and overclocking. :-|
And yes, I didn't often get out of "basement" those days...

I think the ONLY advantage destops have over laptops is Expndability.
Other than that, if I need a monitor, I plug my laptop into my plasma.
