Flat panel monitors are much sexier, but these are 21" and will do 1800x1350@85Hz and what's even more amazing - I got all four for free because nobody want's CTRs anymore!! :D

Long live the CRT!!

Now I just need to figure out how to get four monitors plus my TV connected to Ubuntu?

If you get them all plugged in (if you can fit that many video cards) do a screenshot as your screen will be 9000 x 1350 :D

The screen resolution will only be bigger if he uses an nVidia card which fakes duel display. atiand intel cards should display 4 screens as seperate resolutions.

one of the guys @ work has three screens attached to 1 pc - it has 3 video cards in it (I fitted them for him).

It's very confusing!!

I don't know what hardware to get to connect them all up. I was thinking of the Matrox TripleHead2Go but its specs are pretty rubbish. It will only do 3840 x 1024 @ 60Hz!

I've only got a single AGP slot and I want to use it for games - so an additional old PCI card wouldn't be great. I don't really want to fork out for SLI.

Anyone got any recomendations?

Anyone got any recomendations?
Give me two of those monitors?
Since.. um, you know, it would be easier for you to set up two monitors instead of four... so um... you could go easy on yourself and give me the other two. :D

You are going to need a power plant for those and the quad sli to game on them.

What resolution do you want to do ? It also depends if you are gonna stack them in a cube and display the images as one image or multiple images.

I think the biggest problem is going to be Linux support for what you are going to do. I suggest you search and ask around a bit more to find out what works and what does not. Maybe go ask at some specialist linux video forums or something.

I don't know if nvidia has PCI quad head video cards. Look at their Quadro series, ie. Nvidia Quadro4 400NVS

The other option is two dual-head cards or 4-single head cards. Dont know how well 3d accel will work in this scenario.
