They have released a new countdown version which looks like its based on 10.1.
It looks way behind Ubuntu . I guess theyare hurting abit with the success of Distros like Ubuntu

How? Apart from the Kernel it seems somewhere behind it...

I used [edit] Mandrake a.k.a Mandriva, pfft anyways I won't dog on them about their KDE work style, but yes it far behind. And the 3 CD's I deffinently do not miss!

geez, I borro'd my mate's Mandrake CD's to give Linux a go. He gave me SIX! CDs.
No wonder I got confused and went searching for Ubuntu.

I tried mandrake 10 and Suse 9.1 and they were the reason I thought linux was not ready for the desktop.
Now I use Ubuntu and now I think linux is ready for the desktop. :)
