What cost comes with overclocking?

A year ago, on my other computer (using a nvidia legacy card), I tried different overclocking settings to test things out. The worst thing that happened was a lockup. But I was not really caring about the card... take care.

There should be a tool like rivatuner. I want to unlock some extra rendex pipes and automatically overclock to get the XGL/compiz running more smoothly. :P So, coders, port this app to ubuntu. ;)
