CygnusEd or similair for Linux ?

Anybody know of a text editor similair to CygnusEd for linux ?

C'mon surely some people must know what CygnusEd is all about ?

It's the best text editor I have ever used.

it does seem kind of impressive, browsing around the web. But I dunno, text editors have never really been a big deal for me...? I guess. I'd actually never heard of it until you mentioned it.

I posted it because I found there as much as I cared to know. But you're right, you can't learn much of CygnusEd from that article. :)

It's in the repos, might be in getdeb soon. I installed it from the repos but it wont run :confused:

Ehh this is late reply, I'm sure you probably found your answer already, but for the sake of other people searching on google.

If you're looking for a functionality I think EMACS would be closest (it's more similar to MicroEMACS (as name suggests) from the Extras disk from Workbench).

I had forgotten all about CygnusEd.

It is by far the best text editor I have ever used. It isn't hard to customise to suit your needs & its a breeze to use.

Though it is not so good as to have me go back to windows to use it.

Maybe I didn't learn CED too well to appreciate it, but GoldED seemed to me to be even better.
