Yes and no. Yes in that you don't need to flip it over to write on both and no, it has two sides, like all paper.

it does have one side and one edge. trace it round with your finger. kleiner bottles are the 3d version. 1 surface. requires 4 dimentional space for it to work right though.

Thats what I was thinking about, I was also looking at the kleiner bottle, roman surface, and other "one sided" objects... but,

yes, it has only one side and one edge. as a previous poster has said, run your finger along the edge and the surface. it assumes that that the 2 ends are continous.
the klein bottle is physically impossible to construct, but in theory, it has only one surface.
