Hi, I have a pretty new Nokia phone with bluetooth. What bluetooth card or USB dongle should I get that works with Dapper?

I found a shop that sells Gigabyte GN-BTD02 Bluetooth USB adapter but I found no information on supported OS's so I wrote both the vendor and the shop and asked.

I've tried searching the forums and the Linux compability list (http://linuxcompatible.org/) for supported bluetooth cards without luck. Is this an issue at all or does pretty much every card work with Dapper? Any resources or experiences?

Hi,

I am using a Billionton Bluetooth dongle which is a brand that I can recommend. There is a device list in case that helps with your decision-making:

Thanks! I printed the list you supplied and took it to the store. I ended up with a D-Link USB Bluetooth adapter DBT-122. It worked like a charm.

Inserted USB-stick and the phone showed up in local devices. Right click file in Nautilus and selecting send-to. Ubuntu/Linux keeps impressing me! Later I am getting a bluetooth remote control to use with a media center like Freevo or something.

Cool! Let us know how that goes. Sounds terrific and something I have been looking for.

The list is kind of outdated but I figured that you are safe if you go for one of the listed brands.
