Hi guys,
Bright white color screen has been very helpful in diagnosing screen related issues. I recently installed Ubuntu 20.04 on my Lenovo G50-70 with Intel i3 4th Gen, Intel HD Graphics 4400, 8 GB RAM, and a 1TB HDD. While the installation and first boot went fine, the screen does not respond during subsequent boots from a shut down state. It stays blank without showing any vendor logo or error messages. If I force shut down the computer and then power it back on, it starts normally. I have also tested other distros like elementary OS and Manjaro, but the issue persists.
What could be causing this problem, and how can I resolve it?
