Take a walk down the memory lane! Some Linux desktop images from year 2000 and before! (Note - some of these screenshots are from RasterMan's desktop - Rasterman aka Carsten Haitzler is the main developer of the Enlightenment window manager. Check out http://www.enlightenment.org . The new version of the Enlightenment window manager (been developed since October, 2000) - E17 will probably wipe the floor with anything seen before once it's released.

the maya screenshots look the same as the maya 7 lol.

I think some of the old enlightenment screenshots look really cool in a weird twisted 1337 madhacker kinda way. And I can confidently say motif sucks now, sucked before, and will always suck. And not just visually.
