i really don't know how thieves can be so dumb. if they were hoping to sell it as the original(which it is), then the buyer is almost certainly clued up on which paintings are in a gallery. therefore, the potential buyer will smell a rat and inform the police. if they are hoping to sell it as a cheap replicae, then they aren't going to get much money for it at all.

Edvard Munch's painting "The Scream" has been found and was verified by Munch museum officials today...the only reason that I bring this up is that Mips's avatar is that of the painting..I believe he's a fan and would like to know...

Nice of the police to recover the painting, with only some scratches. We'll have to wait some days before the art experts can tell us if this painting is genuine or not though. :)

I don't like translations of names though, but I guess it'd be easier to understand for foreigners.

The name is actually "Skrik" meaning "Scream" and not "The scream" (no article) actually.

There's been a lot about this in medias here in Norway since they announced this this afternoon.
