I have a very new laptop, Thinkpad X1 nano, it was just released 1-2 months ago from Thinkpad.

I just installed 20.10.

the Wifi is very buggy, it works for 1-2 hours than it disconnects and cannot reconnect, this happens with several different networks.

uname -a
Linux thinkpad 5.8.0-43-generic #49-Ubuntu SMP Fri Feb 5 03:01:28 UTC 2021 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux

Thread moved to the "Networking & Wireless" forum where you might get a bit more traction with the gurus here.

My guess is that the Intel WiFi 6 adapters have been recently introduced into the kernel and that all bugs have not been worked out yet. However, let someone with a lot more experience than me chime in.

In the mean time i have installed kernel 5.11 and it seems more stable, but not flawless yet

$ iwconfig
lo no wireless extensions.

See if disabling wifi power management helps

sudo sed -i 's/wifi.powersave = 3/wifi.powersave = 2/' /etc/NetworkManager/conf.d/default-wifi-powersave-on.conf
systemctl restart network-manager.service

And chose WPA2 instead of WPA in your router for encryption

systemctl restart network-manager.service

it is still a bit unstable, not sure if smtg improved
