There has been a lot of discussion of late surrounding censorship on the internet, much of it politically motivated but recently I have found similar with radio stations.

I've often listened to talk radio stations and often someone phones in from other countries and I thought with internet broadcasts this would now become the norm.

Using TuneIn player from UK I have found US radio station iheart 60s not available in my region and Russian radio station Echo Moscow again not available.

Both can be accessed using VPN but I wonder what is the criteria that governs what is allowed now of not.

A discussion of international policies regarding media outlets that will certainly lead to overtly political commentary may be addressed on venues other than the Ubuntu Forums.
