Hello

Any help would be highly appreciated.

I installed xubuntu 20.04.1 and now my screen looks like this.

I have a HP laptop with AMD A10 9600P processor and Radeon R5 graphics.

I have absolutely no clue how to fix this. Could anyone help please? Thanks.

Can you give us the model of your laptop please? In the interim, you may just want to try and reinstall.

If you run a live session does it still look like that?

Is it the same on an external screen?
Do you have the latest BIOS?

I've had that same issue once with my former HP laptop too.
Don't remember how I fixed that.
Have you installed the 3rd party drivers during install?
Did it do it from the first session after install?

If it helps I have had a lot of display problems since installing 20.04.1 also. Parts of different themes overlaping, not able to see all of the screen, etc. Are you able to hook up an external monitor and run both outputs. When I did that I can at least see the parts of the screen that was missing. I have a laptop also (Dell). I did start to look into the issues involved with runing Gtk and QT apps, I don't know if Xubuntu runs both ?
