View Full Version : [SOLVED] Bluetooth Manager Shows Key Icon next to my iphone device

I am trying to get my Iphone to connect to the PC. Bluetooth Manger shows my iPhone device with a key icon to the left of the device.

1)I What is the meaning of the key icon?
2)What might I have done to create it?
3)How do I remove it?

Please see atch screen shot.

Thank you. I'll be patient. I have done a lot of googling re my question and have not found any discussion of the "key" thing.

o.k., i finely found the answers. The key means initiate pairing with the device, and I assume when present means the device is paired, but this is an assumption. The lock which is placed next to the BT icon on the system tray indicates, in my case that the iPhone is paired with the dongle. The lock appears immediately after accepting the "pairing number" shown on both the iPhone and PC.

However, in spite of GUI indications of pairing and connection, I still cannot get the pairing to function properly. And "ifuse" does not work so as to allow me to download photos from my iPhone to PC.
