Can anyone tell me what program is used for making images like the ones in this website, it doesn´t matter if the program is linux or windows based, and where I can find a tutorial for learning to use it.

You might want to check out Blender. You can install from the Ubuntu repositories, but here's the link to the project page for more information:
http://www.blender.org/

There's a bit of a learning curve if you're not experienced with 3D design, but there's plenty of info out there to refer to.

It truly is, and Blender's interface doesn't make it any easier. It's great when you get used to it, but thats after about a month of solid usage :wink:.
