Hi, I've tried for days now to install 20.04.1 and no success until I installed Solus linux 4.1. installing Solus 4.1 worked great , but I wanted Ubuntu so I installed 20.04.1 along side solus. I reduced to partition for Solus to 30 GB and used the rest for Ubuntu and this worked great. For some reason which I don't know about. The Ubuntu installer doesn't install 20.04.1 properly and crashes but the Solus 4.1 installer works great. Once GRUB was installed by Solus, Ubuntu installs properly. I know it's not the best solution but it works. I had Ubuntu 18.04 lnstalled and the automatic upgrade to 20.04.1 didn't work so the above method worked for me.

I'm a little confused by this sorry.

You appear to have tagged Lubuntu (sorry I'm not sure tagged is the correct word) but then speak about Ubuntu 20.04 LTS.

Lubuntu 20.04 LTS uses the `calamares` installer.
Ubuntu 20.04 LTS uses the `ubiquity` installer (for desktop installs anyway).

So the tag (Lubuntu) implies you're talking about `calamares`, but your description which mentions Ubuntu implies `ubiquity` (assuming it's a desktop install). Which are you talking about?
