Touchpad tap not wokring

Hi,

I have installed Lubuntu on my laptop, but there is problem in functionality of the touch pad. Mouse move is working but taping (clicking) is not working. What could be the issue?
I have tried suggestions from this link also:

But no yield. Please help.

Does the system have a make and model please? If you are unsure then you can run


sudo dmidecode -t 1


Do you have the latest BIOS too? (The above output should show the BIOS version and you can check manufacturers website if an update exists
