I'm wondering too...I don't see it or any news about it.

Only due today. Surely you can wait 24 hours before wondering whether it's late. ;)

Has anyone downloaded or updated to the supposed scheduled point release yet? Ubuntu 20.04.1 is scheduled to be released today.

I hadn't noticed however when I checked for updates today in Lubuntu 20.04 it apparently installed the 20.04.1 point release and I had know idea and the surprise is in the software sources I have it set to never check for new releases.

OH well everything is working great and no problems so I'm good with it.

I'll have to check my Ubuntu 20.04 desktop and see if it does the same.

Interesting why it chose to do that.

Hello Frogs Hair,

The link you posted under this section explains it all.

"Do I need to upgrade if I’m already running Ubuntu 20.04 LTS?"

Thanks for the link Frogs Hair. :)

Existing users of 20.04 have been running 20.04.1 for days (including flavors).

The release primarily relates to the release of the ISO for new installs
http://fridge.ubuntu.com/2020/08/06/ubuntu-20-04-1-lts-released/

The release does not actually mean existing users of 18.04 LTS will be offered the upgrade though, as the wording is that it will be offered after release of 20.04.1
You'll note the following wording in the release (see prior link)

Users of Ubuntu 18.04 LTS will soon be offered an automatic upgrade to 20.04.1 LTS via Update Manager. For further information about upgrading,

This is to ensure maximum stability. A decision will be made on when this occurs, at earliest it'll be next week, but may occur later too if it ensures stability, as it's assumed LTS users prize stability.

... it's assumed LTS users prize stability.
Especially the ones who prefer major upgrade to clean install.
