I saw Linux 5.8 kernel available on mainline. Has anyone tried?

If your hardware is all running OK on the official kernel, then I don't suggest you use it

i use lenovo labtop
fingerprint doesn't work
touch feature doesn't work
microphone doesn't work

still hesitated to upgrade from 5.4.42 to 5.8
afraid of new bugs.

also i don't understand how security work if i updated to 5.8. will that mean security updates will be good or will be contradiction with new kernel?
(aologize me for asking silly questions. am not tech guy)

thank you

Over on the devleopment sub-forum, we always have a thread going for every kernel release candidate series. You can review the 5.8-rc series one (https://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=2445465) to see what issues came up and what we learned during its roughly 2 month cycle.
