View Full Version : On what file system did you installed ubuntu?

Just wanted to know what people use :)
I am using reiser, and it works great

Still, I'll do it again. ReiserFS, since I've heard it's fast, and I haven't had any trouble with it (yet).

I've using Reiser since SuSE first started using it as a default (a couple of years or so, I would guess).
I have installed on ext3, but always found that Reiser seems faster, more responsive...especially during those rare times where I had to 'hard reboot' (never had to w/ Ubuntu, as a side note) and the partitions were checked.
YMMV, no warranty expressed, written or implied. Sold by weight, not volume, some contents may settle during shipment...

Same here :). And as appears from that thread most use ext3 for it's proven stability or ReiserFS for it's speed.

I belong to the ext3 catagory although I like reiser too :).
