I just installed 18.04.2 on an ASUS G72GX. The keyboard work perfectly every time until I either reboot, or need to do a software install. When the logon verification screen comes up, the keyboard goes completely dead. I end up having to cancel out of whatever I wanted to install. What's strange is that the "Enter key apparently works just fine. The letters/numbers don't work at all.

When I boot initially, it is a real bear to start up the system because I can't enter my password.

EDIT: The above is true, but there is more. Now I am finding the keyboard stops functioning at times even in a text editor. I am unfamiliar with ASUS laptops, so is there some key function I need to hit to enable the keyboard? I ask thin because there are times when I can "jump start" the keyboard by pressing the "Windows" key, and sometimes by repeatedly hitting the "Z" key. VERY odd.
