Use Ubuntu 18:04LTS as my main system.
Friend singing the praises of Mate thought I'd give it a try on a spare partition.
Not short of space but thought, naively, that minimal install would be quicker - how wrong I was.
Seems minimal install installs everything then deletes what is not required for a minimal install.
Ah well, all good fun :cool:
