I am running 18.04 LTS in a Virtual Box VM. I noticed today that 20.04 LTS is out. So I followed the instructions on the Ubuntu download page, but the update manager just said my distribution was up to date!

I then ran the terminal prompt "update-manager -d" line (I know this was for 19.04 release). It seemed to work in that the Upgrade button appeared and a line saying 20.04 LTS was available and I was running 18.04 LTS.

However, when I click the upgrade button I get a warning that I am about to install a development version of Ubuntu! Is 20.04 LTS stable or under development still? I thought "LTS" meant it was a stable release?

Thanks.

Chris.

20.04 was released on 23 April, but the upgrade process from 18.04 to 20.04 will only be released somewhere in July (maybe August)

I see. I guess I just need to be patient and allow it to update when it is ready to do so. :)

Many thanks.
