I have an Acer Aspire V5-571G of about 2012(?) and I wanted to install Ubuntu 20.04 alongside a Windows 10 installation. During installation I selected the empty partition to install ubuntu upon. There was no EFI partition and the laptop is not "UEFI aware". When Installation was for 3/4 completed, the installer remarked that there was an error and hung. When I boot I get at the grub> command prompt. I can ls the partitions but when I try to boot from windows I get the error that I have to load the kernel first. What is the adviced way to proceed in this situation?
