Hi all,
This morning on firing up, my external monitor said "Check signal cable" and no longer worked. Yesterday it had been working perfectly till shutdown. In between the setup remained untouched by anyone or anything. The signal cable remains firmly in place.
The last thing I had done before shutting down was running one of these update pop-ups as I have done countless times before. So it looks very much like that update knocked out a video driver. What may be the best way to locate and fix the problem? The setup: Dell Latitude E6530, Ubuntu 18.04 LTS, Samsung monitor ~30". Thanks for any help.
