I have a Dell Inspiron P25T with Xubuntu 19.10.
I installed Xubuntu 20.04 but the desktop looks like 80 character wide trying to display 82 characters.
Rectangular windows are stair-stepped trapezoids.
I had to press and hold the power key to shut down.
I installed Kubuntu and no problems. I would prefer Xubuntu.
Is there some video setting that could correct the problem?
I have searched but have not found anything that matches yet.

We need to see a picture of your issue to be sure. I don't have that issue.

I am unable to capture a screen shot.
Not sure how to post an image.

I don't think I can get a screen shot.
The screen looked like each line was indented a couple of characters to the right of the previous line.
Then the lines were compressed vertically so the bottom half of some characters were recognizable.
I ended up just holding the power key to turn the computer off.
I still have Xubuntu 19.10 functioning.
I was hoping there might be some setting I could change since I can boot Xubuntu 19.10.
I installed Kubuntu and then Lubuntu and they have no problems.
I guess I will check the iso and download again when the date changes.
Or maybe Mint will release an XFCE and I will try that.
Thank you.
