I'm looking into buying some sort of PDA type device by the end of the year. I'm still not fully decided whether that'll be a Palm, Windows CE, PDA/Phone [Treo, smart phone, etc], but it definitely needs PDA functionality and a built in cell phone will only make it cooler!

I'm personally inclined at this point to go with a Microsoft Windows PDA, because from all the PDA's I've tested at stores, they seem to be the most feature-filled.

However, I am primarily a Linux user on my computers, so this PDA must play nicely with Linux. I'm fine with compromising KDE vs GNOME to get the best compatibility with the device, but I'm not fine with dual-booting Windows just so that I can sync with my PDA.

I own a Handspring Visor Deluxe (a bit too old now to be terribly useful), and to be honest I'm not impressed with how it synchronizes with kpilot/gnome-pilot.

So, what are your experiences/recommendations with PDAs and syncing them with Linux?
