View Full Version : install ubuntu on macbook pro 2012

Hello,

How can i boot up i ubuntu?
Then i install ubuntu in macbook pro 2012

Then i reboot i got (No Folder in System)

Can someone tell me how i can fix this issues?

First, do you use USB drive or a DVD?
Apple uses UEFI.
The ISO images are hybrid, so they can be booted up with an old BIOS or an UEFI.
Make sure you USB or DVD is bootable (try another UEFI capable PC if you have one).

I use USB to install it.

But some times i got (No Folder) in boot.

i have isntalled ubuntu 16.04 in my system andi can boot into ubuntu.

But the problem is some times i can't boot into ubuntu. it just show (No Folder.)

You will need to provide a lot more information if you want help. THe best way to get that info is to go to the site below while you are booted into Ubuntu, either the installed system or the USB you used to install and downloading and running the boot repair software. Make certain to use the 2nd option explained on the page using the ppa and when you run boot repair, do NOT try to make any repairs but select the option to Create BootInfo Summary. WHen it finishes, it will give you a link which you can post here.
