Using ubuntu 19.04 with unity on Acer laptop. Have had a few problems. First was/is longer shutdown than usual(5 or 10 minutes). Second is that laptop only goes to Acer start screen, till I hit F12 for booting options, then grub comes on. Last the update seems to have messed up when screen blanks from inactivity, down to about 15 seconds. Have fixed screen blanking by using
xset -dpms. Would like to know how to get it back to 10 minutes till blanking. Have not had chance yet to check if bios options are same, but they need password to change. Let me know what more information you need.
