Forgive my ignorance, but what does this "friend" business on Digg actually do?
Nothing major...it's just a quick way to see what people you like have dugg/posted recently. There's a nifty box on the left side of the page that lets you click to see what your friends are commenting/digging/posting quickly and easily

I use it, but not as often as I used to. The site has become flooded with niche users that seem to go with whatever is popular at the time. Anyway, my username is the same as it is here.

To be honest though, digg has gone really downhill recently. I feel like a lot of the top stories are very remiscent of office e-mails from the nineties. Either that, or pseudo-intellectuals arguing the benefits of marijuana and Ron Paul.

Thread hijack -
I'm having a problem with Digg. I can't change my profile icon. I just get an error page. This happened shortly after I added Facebook connect to my digg account. (It could have been going on longer than this, but I don't know.)

An unknown fatal exception has occurred
Whoa! Something blew up. If you think you reached this error in error please do not hesitate to contact support.
I contacted Digg support, but they said they couldn't reproduce it, and their advice was to try Windows or Mac. :(

I've already tried FF-3.5, FF-3.0, and Opera, each on Jaunty AMD64 and i386.
