Hi I am a new user to Ubuntu. I have Ubuntu 18.04 LTS installed and am using the MATE environment. A couple of weeks ago I was unable to change the appearance within the Control Center setting. I click on the appearance setting and nothing happens. If I try and change my background by right clicking on the screen nothing happens but I am able to change my background by going to a photo on my computer and making that the background. I would be grateful for any advice, Thank you.
