I have installed Ubuntu 19.04 onto a blank HDD on a system previously used for 18.04.

(AMD Ryzen 7 1800X on ASrock Taichi Ultimate, latest BIOS 1.50, GPU Quadro p600)

It appeared to install OK starting with an Ubuntu plum page and but ending the a screen of messages.

These all look as though things are OK, and these is a little disk IO activity, but how do a I get to Ubuntu itself?

[ OK ] Reached target timers
[ ok ] Listening on socket activation for snappy daemon

[ ok ] started detect the available GPUs and deal with any system changes.
[ ok ]Starting hostname service
[ ok ] started hostname service

Restarting repeatedly gives same result.

Suggestions?

Maybe you simply need patience to get the login screen; or is the boot process locked at some point, waiting for something ?

I had faintly hoped someone would guess and tell what it was waiting for ;-)

but no matter, I have installed 18.10 and upgraded to 19.04 OK. Thanks.
