View Full Version : ubuntu 19.04 -- two dotted lines appears at the bottom of the screen in gnome wayland

lenovo ideapad 330-15ast
amd stoney graphics r3
resolution : 1920*1080

when loging into ubuntu 19.04 two dotted lines appears at the bottom left to right wide. white pixel lines. these lines are not appearing into gnome xorg session.
but wayland graphics performance is very good compared to xorg.

please provide solution to remove the lines.

Note that wayland is still a work in progress; so be ready to get some issues

but i have some issues with xorg also. when i push laptop brightness to its maximum level then screen starts flickering.

i have tried so many methods found around internet but nothing of them helped.

this issue is also there in latest kernel 5.0.11 tried on fedora workstation and also ubuntu 19.04. both have same problems with screen flickering at full brightness, when i set one level below from 100%, means at around 95% then the problems gone.

any solution to this problem?

problem solved with newer version of kernels.
