Hi, I did a fresh install of Linux Mint 19 on a Dell Optiplex 7010 SFF Pc (i5 quad with 16GB RAM, 2TB HD) and after install, everything is fine until I go to install updates. During the update process, the computer becomes unresponsive with the hard drive thrashing constantly. I thought it was perhaps a Mint issue, so I decided to try a clean install of Ubuntu 19.04.

Well, the install won't even finish. It gets to about 85% done before the same thrashing and unresponsiveness happens. It is occurring regardless of secure boot and UEFI settings. Any ideas?
