Dissapearing From Panel?

Recently I have had the audio volume symbol and the network status symbol disappear from the panel at the top of my desktop, I am running Ubuntu Studio 14.x never had a problem before. The network status is a big concern as I used it to turn the Wifi on or off and to edit settings. I'm still connected to my home Wifi but I don't know where to go to modify the settings if needed. Any ideas what is going on and how to return it to normal?

I don't know why it happened but xfce4 indicator plug in was removed. strange that the bluetooth disappeared first, then the audio indicator left and several weeks later the network indicator disappeared. Once I figured out that the indicator plugin was what enabled these functions and added it as a new item everything was restored as I expected it to be.
