change battery icon?

I love the dark theme, but the battery icon is black on a dark grey task bar.
Is there a way to get it display in a different color?

You would have locate the icon theme in usr/share/icons and change all the battery icons. There is usually more than one icon needed to display the different battery levels. Have you tried a different theme that contrasts with the panel ? In regular Ubuntu there is a mono and a mono dark icon theme.
