I am running Ubuntu 18.04 and have just successfully completed a regular upgrade. It had been working fine before hand. All video playback on my system has stopped working now (youtube, totem, chrome, messenger, ...).
The video opens and is displayed on my monitor. I can move the position pointer and the still for that moment is displayed, but hitting play does nothing. On Chrome, it will just put a circle of death.
Any ideas?
