Hello,

I have already an Ubuntu 14.10 installed on my laptop, but I need an Ubuntu 16.04.0 or higher. So tried to upgrade my Ubuntu via Software Updater but it failed to download repository information : Check your internet connection.

Then I tried to find the best server, but it says : No suitable download server was found. Please check your internet connection.

So I think my Ubuntu 14.10 is too old. But anyway I need an Ubuntu 16.04.0 or higher version, can you help me to know how I can upgrade my old Ubuntu ?

Thanks

Syd

Yes, your version is too old, have a read at this page and see how you get on.

Had you stayed on 14.04 rather than upgrading to 14.10 it would still work. Staying with the LTS releases is strongly recommended.

The best way is a fresh install. And you could just as well jump directly to 18.04 LTS.
