linux 3.13.0-100-generic does not load

I have dual os windows 7+ubuntu, now my afer many year my Ubuntu does not load.
I have used Recovery options which has for versions of Ubuntu, I have used the oldest version recory mode and tried to resume normal boot after following many tutorials but I have not any success.
Please help

How to say this in the best manner ?? -

You are presently booting an old kernel. Current is " 3.13.0.164.174".
Be aware that release 14.04 (trusty) is soon to be End_Of_Life (April); is it really worth the effort to fix this old install ?
Perhaps the better course here is to backup your personal data and do a clean fresh install of say release 18.04 ?
