Hi, on Lubuntu website is available the ISO image of Lubuntu version 18.10 also for 32bit PCs, but trying to make the upgrade, on a 32bit machine, from 18.04 version through the automatic upgrade installer, it gives a message error that "The version 18.10 is not available for computers with 32bit architecturs". What's the situation? I have to install 18.10 version as a new installation? Thank you eventually for the response.

Hello!

Would you please post back the exact commands you issued and the entire results?

Please contain that in code tags.

To use code tags, either:

1. Click the # button in the toolbars above the text entry box, place your cursor between the text and paste or type your text. Alternatively, paste or type your text, highlight it and then click the # button.

2. Type
before your text and following it. The square brackets are required.

To be honest, I would not upgrade until the next LTS version unless you are bent on having the latest or if you are interested in stability. Non-LTS versions are supported for 9 months only. Lubuntu's LTS support is for three years.

Lubuntu 18.10 is available in a 32-bit iso, available here:
http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/lubuntu/releases/18.10/release/
An in-place upgrade wasn't recommended from Lubuntu 18.04 to 18.10. You will likely get better results with a fresh install.
From the Lubuntu 18.10 release notes:

...upgrading Lubuntu from 18.04 to 18.10 causes a fair amount of issues. Therefore, we are not officially supporting this upgrade path at this time...
