System: Ubuntu 18.04.1, 18.10, fully upgraded.

Using ibus-pinyin in gnome-terminal, after inputting the first word, mouse cursor would disappear.

I can switch to en_US, then switch back to ibus-pinyin, cursor would re-appear.

No problem with ibus-libpinyin, but ibus-libpinyin has stability problems.

On one of my machines (18.04.2), the cursor (when running ibus-pinyin in gnome-terminal) suddenly re-appeared. But on other machines, the problem remains.

Switching to Wayland solved the problem.
