In all prior versions of Ubuntu there was an easy way to view all your installed applications, they were even numbered for you. I don't see this in 18.04. Is this somewhere that I haven't found/seen as yet?

You can use Synaptic package manager for that. In case you don't have it installed, you can install it using this command:

sudo apt install synaptic

Launch Synaptic, and to see all installed packages select "Status" in the bottom left corner of the app, then click "Installed" in the top left corner, like this:

logix2,
Thanks, have Synaptic package manager and have used it for years.

Just realized on 18.04 you need only click on the 9 point grid icon, shown below, on the lowest left corner and all 'frequently used' and 'all apps' open up. It is different on 18.04 compared to earlier versions but it works.

Oh, I misunderstood you question. Sorry about that. I thought you wanted to get a list of all installed packages on your system.

No problem. Was also curious about a way to see all apps as you posted which is very helpful.

The shortcut for opening all the applications: Super + a (the equivalent to clicking on the 9 point grid at the bottom of the dock).
