Install Thunderbird

What is the code to install the newest version Thunderbird and it's calendar extension?
Also to update the list before installation.
I am using Ubuntu 18.10.

I wouldn't use the snap. It is outdated. The current release is Thunderbird 60.2.1 with 60.3 due out soon. The current beta is 64.0b1, not 58.0b3.

Just use synaptic, it's in the repos. 60.2.1 the calendar extension is also there:
